A Storied Franchise with Historic Gameplay
Assassin’s Creed Unity is a recent entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise of spectacle action games. This iteration has you filling the role of Arno Dorian, an assassin during the era of the French Revolution; specifically the years 1789 to 1794. As the story unfolds, Arno will run into such famous individuals as Robespierre, Napoleon and the Marquis de Sade, as well as the recurring antagonists of the series; the Knights Templar. As the historical settings of the franchise are simulations of past in-world events, players also have the option of exploring Paris in other eras, such as its occupation by the Nazis of the Second World War.
A New Twist on Multiplayer Gameplay
While it has been a recent trend to offer Assassins Creed multiplayer, Unity is the first of these genuine games to offer co-optional multiplayer. Rather than playing as Arno, you can customize your own member of the Parisian branch of the Brotherhood of Assassins, down to his outfit and equipment. Once you are satisfied with your assassin’s looks and fighting style, you can then join your friends in joint operations of infiltration and political assassination.
